Pioli to make 5 changes for Milan vs Sassuolo
AC Milan will face Sassuolo on Sunday, at 12:30 CET. Pioli is trying to turn things around with five changes.
After the heavy 4-0 defeat in Rome against Lazio, coach Stefano Pioli wants to archive this completely forgettable start to 2023 and to try to turn things around as soon as possible. AC Milan vs Sassuolo will be the upcoming challenge of the Rossoneri who will have to do without the services of Fikayo Tomori.
The Italian coach will try to shake things up with a couple of changes. Simon Kajer will take Tomori’s spot in defence alongside Pierre Kalulu. Theo Hernandez returns on the left while Davide Calabria is confirmed on the opposite flank. As usual, Tatarusanu will protect the goal.
The Italian coach has decided to change the composition of the midfield for Milan vs Sassuolo. Rade Krunic has fully recovered was was rumored to start against Sassuolo but it will be Tomasso Pobega to play alongside Sandro Tonali. Ismael Benncaer is suspended and will not be available for this match.
Changes will also take place in attack but Pioli will keep the traditional 4-2-3-1 set up. Charles De Ketelaere will replace Brahim Diaz in the attacking midfielder role. Alexis Saelemaekers will start on the right with the usual Rafael Leao on the left. Olivier Giroud will lead the attack against Sassuolo.
